For many hundreds of years, one of the most important times on the West Coast was welcoming ships home after month-long voyages.
To prevent ships from being shipwrecked, large bonfires were lit along the coastal strip.
This was also the case along the shores of Lake Nossen.
The Easter bonfire has become sacred for us, accompanied by choir singing.
The highlight of the evening is the candy rain that falls at 6:30 PM.
