How far is it to Astrid Lindgren’s World?

From Vimmerby Camping, it is about 4 kilometers to the world’s best park. It takes 15 minutes by bike or 7-8 minutes by car.

What is included in the cabins & holiday apartments?

All accommodations come with pillows and duvets, a refrigerator, and a kitchenette with all the necessary dishes. Just bring your own bed linens, towels, and dish towels. All accommodations have furnished outdoor areas.

When are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in opens at 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you wish to check in after reception hours, please call us on the day of check-in.

Can I book a late check-out?

Yes, it is possible to add a late check-out for a fee of 100 SEK.

Is there WiFi on the premises?

Absolutely – WiFi is available across most of the campsite. You can log in to the network “Guest Vimmerby Camping.” The password is “Rivieran.”

What type of cable do I need to connect to the electricity pole at the campsite?

All bookable camping pitches are equipped with CEE sockets. You will need a Schuko adapter to get 220V from the electricity pole.

We are coming with an electric car, where can we charge it?

Right next to the beach parking area, there are 4 charging stations for electric cars with 22kW. There are 6 new Superchargers down the road at Nosshult 103 with 500kW.

Is fishing allowed in the lake?

Absolutely, and you don’t need a fishing permit. There are rowing boats, canoes, and pedal boats available for rent if you’d prefer to get out on the water instead of fishing from one of the docks.

What are the rules regarding music and parties?

Feel free to play music, but keep it for your group and not for the neighbors. The facility is family-friendly, and by 10:30 PM, it should be quiet.

Is there a possibility to wash clothes?

Yes, we have 3 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers. You can book a suitable time for this at the reception.

Can I rent towels and bed linens?

Yes, you can rent towels and bed linens from us. Add this to your booking or ask at the reception upon arrival.

How can I contact you if I arrive after opening hours?

If you know that you will arrive after opening hours, please call us during our opening hours so we can place your key in a key box outside the reception. If you haven’t had the chance to contact us in advance, we will try to reach you in good time to explain where to find your pitch and key.

Is the campsite open to external visitors?

Yes, of course! The campsite is open to external visitors. You can swim here, enjoy the weather, dine at our restaurant, rent boats, or book the sauna. Welcome!

Do you offer a camping kitchen or shared kitchen areas?

We have two service kitchens that offer stoves, ovens, microwaves, and refrigerator storage. In the lower service building, there is also a cozy lounge where you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

Can we rent bikes or boats?

Yes, you can rent both bikes and boats here at the campsite. We offer regular bikes as well as cargo bikes, which have two seats in the cargo area. The maximum load for these seats is 90 kilos. For water sports, we also have pedal boats, rowing boats, and canoes available for rent. Please ask our staff for more information or book in advance.

Is there a quiet time in the evening?

Yes, there is a quiet time in the evening between 10:30 PM and 7:00 AM. If you experience disturbances during this time, please contact the night service for assistance. Call the night service at +46492-31410.

Can I reserve a specific pitch in advance?

Yes, it is possible to reserve a specific pitch in advance. For a fee of 50 SEK, you can pay for “pitch selection” and ensure that the spot is yours for the entire duration of your stay. Please contact us to make your reservation.

Do you offer fresh bread or breakfast service?

Yes, we offer morning bread and breakfast service during the high season. At our store, 24Food, we receive fresh bread every day, delivered around 7:00 AM. Additionally, we offer a breakfast buffet at the restaurant during the high season, which must be booked in advance at the reception.
