class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>At that time, our hostel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vimmerbycamping.se\/boendekategorier\/vandrarhem\/\">Alphyddan<\/a>, was the heart of the site, as it served as the reception, bakery, and caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Out in the lake, there was a large diving tower and a classic dance pavilion \u2013 with a touch of the Riviera, as it extended out over the lake.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apart from the hostel, the beautifully carved entrance gates are also still preserved from that time.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dance pavilion disappeared in the early 1980s and has since made way for, among other things, the beautiful floating lakeside sauna that now sits in its place.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The diving tower, which was actually built by the military as part of an exercise, remained until the late 1980s, when there was no longer anyone responsible for its upkeep and maintenance.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you delve into the archive photos, it quickly becomes clear that the area around Nossen\u2019s shore has been a place of joy for generation after generation.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"762\" height=\"771\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lot has changed since the first tents were pitched on the grassy fields, which at the time were owned by Vimmerby Municipality and leased to private operators.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2000, Nossenbadets Camping became Vimmerby Camping, Nossenbadet, when Lasse \u201cNossenBossen\u201d Johansson purchased the site from the municipality. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A major period of development began, with new buildings being added one after another as the need for new facilities grew.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lasse ran the site successfully for 19 years.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2019, the site was purchased by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vimmerbycamping.se\/en\/about-vimmerby-camping\/contact-information\/\">Elisabeth &amp; Hampus<\/a>, who work tirelessly and with great enthusiasm to develop the site while preserving its heritage.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The site is beautifully situated in nature, which is carefully preserved and maintained in collaboration with the other businesses in of the lower service house.<br\/><br\/><strong>2023<\/strong><br\/>-Remodeling of the restaurant kitchen to accommodate increased capacity.<br\/>-Installation of solar panels across the entire site.<br\/>-Leveling of camping pitches 55\u201357 and 90\u201397, along with three new camping pitches and an improved tent area.<br\/>-New accommodation options with<a next to the lakeside sauna.<br\/>-Vimmerby Camping is named Young Business of the Year in Vimmerby Municipality and Kalmar County, qualifying for the national final.<br\/>-Vimmerby Camping is included in Camping.info\u2019s \u201cTop 1001 Campsites in Europe.\u201d<br\/>-New kitchens are installed in Holiday Apartments 1\u201311.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2025<\/strong><br\/>-Chloe Cottage is built, offering four premium accommodations in the best location.<br\/>-Vimmerby Camping wins the \u201cCampers\u2019 Choice\u201d award for Best Hospitality.<br\/>-The Sm\u00e5land Cottage is completely renovated.<br\/>-The Ellen &amp; H\u00e4rbre cottages are renovated.<br\/>-Three new pedal boats take to the lake.<br\/>-A stage is built on the restaurant veranda.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2026<\/strong><br\/>-The \u201cArizona\u201d and \u201cRiverdale\u201d holiday caravans move onto the campsite.<br\/>-Service House 4 officially opens.<br\/>-Service House 2 is completely renovated and expanded with more toilets and showers.<br\/>-We switch our digital booking system to CampingOnline.<br\/>-TallyWeb is introduced.<br\/>-New kitchens are installed in Holiday Apartments 21\u201324.<br\/>-Trollstigen opens for everyone to explore.<br\/>-The outdoor gym right by the
